Mob kills man, injures son over 'rumours' that they ate beef

50-year-old Mohammad Akhlaq was beaten to death and his 22-year-old son severely injured on Monday night in UP’s Dadri, allegedly by residents of Bisara village, around 45 km from Delhi, after rumours spread in the area about the family storing and consuming beef, police said.

Six people were arrested in connection with the attack, sparking protests that led to police firing, damage to vehicles and injuries to a 20-year-old welder who works for the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) facility in the area.

Jim Carrey’s Girlfriend Commits Suicide

Jim Carrey’s on-and-off girlfriend Cathriona White has reportedly committed suicide.
The 28-year-old makeup artist’s body was found on Monday evening (September 28) after LAPD responded to a call.
The reports, broken exclusively by TMZ, state that Law enforcement suspect a drug overdose was involved as pills were found next to her body.
They also found a suicide note that was addressed to Jim Carrey. The suicide note reportedly referenced their most recent breakup on September 24.

Girl strips naked in shopping centre 'after boyfriend refuses to buy her iPhone 6s'

#NOCHILL! A Chinese woman stripped completely naked at a shopping centre after her boyfriend refused to buy her an iPhone 6s. The woman, whose identity was not revealed, began by exchanging words with her boyfriend and after reportedly failing to persuade him to buy her the latest gadget, the woman removed her clothes and threw them on the floor in front of hundreds of other shoppers.

The boyfriend didn't even attempt to stop her and walked away as soon as she stripped naked. The video of the incident which was posted online a few days ago ends with the naked woman following the boyfriend as she pushed him several times.

Senate is yet to receive ministerial list- Dino Melaye

The senate says it is yet to receive the ministerial list from the presidency. Chairman of the Senate adhoc committee on publicity, Dino Melaye made this known to National assembly correspondence after the end of today's sitting
"I want to announce we are still waiting for the ministerial list from the president I want to advise there is no need for agitation. September expires 12 midnight today and I want to assure Nigerians that as soon as we get possession of the list, we will communicate to them.

Lagos Man Who Stabbed Father & Absconded with Heart Turns Self in to Police

Earlier this month, it was reported that a man named Nelson Oamen, stabbed his 74-year-old father, Ehiremen Oamen, during an argument at their Ipaja home and absconded with his heart.
Punch reports that Nelson has turned himself in to police.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Joe Offor, confirmed the arrest.
He said, “The man has been arrested. He actually handed over himself to the police at Ipaja, who took him to the SCID, Yaba. He has also confessed to the crime.”

According to the article, the bishops welcomed the Nigerian government's anti-gay law but they do not seek the punishment or jailing of persons who err but to help them unto salvation.

Elijah told the UN event on Ending AIDS by 2030 that was co-chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Woman arrested for attempting to use twins for fraud

The Lagos state police command on Sunday September 27th arrested a woman simply identified as Victoria, for allegedly attempting to use the four-month old twins of Mrs Ruth Uche, whose husband fled after she gave birth to them, to defraud a retired police commissioner.
According to reports, Victoria who is a wife and mother of two is an acquaintance of the Uches and had asked that they "lend" her their twins so she could feature them in a movie. Unknown to the Uches, Victoria wanted to use their twins to extort money from the police chief who is the father of her ex lover.

Father rapes daughter, impregnates neighbour

A 46-year-old man, Morris Ndidwe, has been arrested by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly raping his 11-year-old daughter and impregnating a neighbour’s daughter in Delta State.
According to his wife, Ndidwe had tried on several occasions to rape his is 11-year-old daughter in the past before the last attempt that landed got him arrested.

His wife claimed that her husband’s behaviour made her end the marriage one time but only returned after several appeals and an assurance that he had changed.

Burkina Faso prosecutor freezes assets of leader of failed coup

Burkina Faso on Saturday froze the assets of General Gilbert Diendere, who led a failed coup last week in which his men took the president and prime minister hostage just weeks before elections were due.
The state prosecutor said in a statement that he also froze the assets of 13 others suspected of links to the coup and to the political party of former President Blaise Compaore and three other parties linked to the former ruler.

The baby boy, known only as Donald, was born prematurely two months ago and the cause of his death is unknown.

You will recall that at first, it was reported that there were 3 confirmed deaths, and some other news sources said it was 6 casualties.
