sources confirm Kim is 12 weeks pregnant, and apparently several members of the K clan have been sitting on the secret.

Covenant University expels 200 students for not attending Church service

About 200 students may have been expelled by the authorities of Covenant University, Cannanland, Ota, Ogun State, recently for what was described as “disregard of paramount core values.”

Frustrated and angered by the development, some of the affected students who gave account of what happened battled emotions while narrating their situations to Saturday Vanguard recently. They however pleaded with the school authorities to tamper justice with mercy in order to save their future.

Davido Reacts To Slap Rumours

Few days ago, the social media was all enthusiastic with the news that, Davido, was allegedly rude to King Saheed Elegushi and received a slap for his unruly behaviour.

Other reports even went as far as saying that Omo Baba Olowo and his cousin B-Red were beaten by King Saheed Elegushi’s royal guards.

However, Davido who is not new to controversies as well as his penchant for denying untoward behaviours or negative incidents associated with him, has denied this latest round of news calling it ‘rumours’.

Sexy musician, Shakira and Barcelona star, Gerard Pique have announced the arrival of their baby boy.

The 25-year-old footballer shared the news on the micro blogging site, Twitter, when he posted ‘Our son (is) already born! We are very happy! Thank you all for your messages‘. According to People’s Magazine, Shakira was delivered of a baby boy on Thursday, December 27, 2012.

Shakira revealed her pregnancy last September when announcing the cancellation of a Las Vegas gig. The singer began dating sportsman Pique in 2011 after splitting from her longtime boyfriend Antonio de la Rua after 11 years of being together.

Fire guts Ex-President Obasanjo’s Hilltop Mansion

A section of ex-president Obasanjo's hilltop mansion in Abeokuta, which was used as an office, was gutted by fire yesterday Thursday December 27th.

Obasanjo was not home when the fire started around 4pm yesterday but his wife, children and grandchildren were home. They were quickly evacuated from the building. The inferno, which destroyed computers, office appliances and furniture, was said to have have been caused by an electrical fault.

The fire spread to other parts of the building and even affected Obasanjo's bedroom. It was eventually put out by the state Fire Service.

Kogi State Governor involved in auto crash. ADC, driver die instantly

The Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada and his aides were involved in a fatal car accident this afternoon along the Abuja - Lokoja expressway. His ADC, Idris Mohammed and a driver died instantly while the governor was rushed to the Emergency Ward of the Kogi State Specialist Hospital in Lokoja. He was later moved to the Government House Hospital where he's said to be in a coma.

The governor and his convoy were returning from an official assignment and were close to Lokoja when the accident occurred.

D'banj 'KOKO WALK OF LIFE' Concert

*stretches* arrggghhh!!! Mehn! I'm just recovering from that punishment D'banj gave all of us that attended his concert!!! I cant imagine after getting to the supposed venue...i still had to walk for almost another 30minutes before i could see the stage...damn!! NAWA!!! Even if JayZ and Kanye and ehmmm...Nicki minaj come and say they are performing @ Eko Atlantic for FREE...Heaven knows i shall not go there again...#JUSTSAYING!! 

Anyway the show and performances were awesome...DONT GET IT TWISTED!!! :D

19 Year-Old Upcoming Designer, Mariam Afolabi of Mademoiselle Aglaia presents her New Collection – Saturday 29th December 2012

Mariam Afolabi, a 19 year-old law student at Warwick University and CEO/Creative Director of the renowned  upcoming fashion label, Mademoiselle Aglaia will be presenting her new collection called Acanthus and Renaissance Art in Lagos this weekend.

She “welcomes you to her jungle” on the 29th of December at the Oriental Hotel Lagos where she’ll be showcasing in Nigeria for the first time.

Speaking about her new collection, Mariam says 

“My designs have been inspired by the ceiling of famous palaces like the palace de Versailles and paintings from artist like Leonardo da Vinci and others during the renaissance period. The Acanthus plant has also inspired the embroidery style in the dresses I have designed to give it that baroque element. Designers like Chanel, Givenchy and Balmain have also inspired the style and technique I have adopted in my collection. These designers use beads, embroidery and prints to express their style, most of the techniques and styles in my collection will portray this.”

Massive explosion at Lagos market this morning

A shop containing fire crackers on Wednesday exploded in a storey building injuring many and damaging cars and houses close by.

The explosion reportedly occurred at 9:30 in Oroyiyin\Jankara area, Lagos Island.

The fire spread to nearby buildings, causing panic to traders and shoppers.

Two firemen showed up in a fire truck and local residents grabbed fire hoses to try and put out the flames.

The explosion is reported to have caused an alarming vibration in the area while the noise was deafening.

A huge crowd is said to have besieged the area making it difficult for firefighters to put out the fire.

More firefighters have been drafted to the scene of the fire and security agencies have also been drafted to help in putting out the fire that has gutted 15 adjoining buildings.

Casualty figures are yet to be ascertained.
