The police on Wednesday, charged three more suspects to the Yaba Magistrates' Court for the murder of Cynthia Osokogu, who was killed on July 22 by her social media friends.
Four suspects had earlier been arraigned in court in connection with Cynthia's murder.
The three suspects charged to court on Wednesday include: Gideon Okechukwu, the alleged driver of the prime suspect Okwumo Nwabufo; Nonso Ezike, the younger brother of Chidera Ezike, another prime suspect; and one Ezeaka Chinoso.
Nonso and Ezeaka were arraigned on a two count charge of receiving and selling of Cynthia's Bold 5 blackberry phone.
Okechukwu was however, arraigned on an eight count charge, bothering on conspiracy and murder.
The charge sheet read in part, "that you Ezike Nonso Ifechukwu and Ezeaka Chinoso sometime in July 2012 at 93 Tedi/Memo Road Abule-Osun in Lagos Magistrate district conspired among yourselves to commit felony to wit: receiving robbed/stolen property thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 409 of the criminal Law of Lagos State 2011."
Count II stated "that you (accused persons) on the same time and date did knowingly receive one blackberry phone valued at N85,000 from one Ezike Olisaeloka, also known as Chidera, property of Cynthia knowing same to have been stolen and robbed and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 32c (1)(2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos 2011."
The magistrate, P.A. Adekomaiya granted Nonso and Ezeaka bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties in like sum.
The third accused, Okechukwu was however, denied bail pending the advice of the Directorate of Public Prosecutor.
Okechukwu was therefore, remanded at the Ikoyi prisons while the case was adjourned to October 3, 2012.
